So we took the super long ride from Intuition to Bold City… they’re so close to each other we could have just walked.
We pulled up and it was still dusk. There were lots of people relaxing outside.
Yet ANOTHER brewery that is doogie friendly.
So when you walk past everyone that was hanging out in front, you see the front. On the left is the garage door that’s almost always open to the brewery room. The red door on the right takes you to the air conditioned tap room.
We headed into the brewery room which was packed with more people.
The first thing you notice when you enter is the BBQ setup on your left. He’s really popular and makes great wings too.
Inside the tap room is a lot of fun. They have a variety of beer options including Killer Whale, Dukes, Rhino Blue Pale Ale, Mad Manatee and more.
There’s several tables inside and it can get really quaint at times when it’s packed.
They have a whole cabinet of board games like the usual Jenga and Connect four as well as Apples to Apples (my personal fav) and more.
If it’s your first visit, I highly recommend getting the sampler. It’s always packed with their beers as they literally cram one of everything they have on tap on the tray. Seriously they typically put more beers on their tray then they have logos.
The whole group split a few trays. Honestly, by this point everyone was pretty “snookered” so there were a few people that weren’t even ordering anything.
Secret tip? After you’ve tried a few of their beers.. order a Duke of Whales. What’s that? It’s half and half Killer Whale and Dukes. Sooo good.
When we were there, I actually learned of a new combination! Dukes + Mad Manatee! Not bad, my friends. Not bad!
Awww. Yup, we dragged them with us to Bold City!
Oh yeah. More Giant Jenga.
You can see in the background they also have corn hole. I will warn you though, something was off with this cornhole set. It was a little too close. The bags weren’t the right weight. The bags were REALLY dirty from the brewery floor too!
BUT hands wash clean, so GAME ON!
And with that, our night had come to a close. We all poured back onto the bus and headed back to our starting point between Tinseltown Movie Theaters and Seven Bridges. On the way back, I face planted into the other half of my Frito Pie without any shame. It was a good thing it was dark because it wasn’t pretty.
Last but not least, I had to take advantage of the $5 souvenir.
And just like that, the night is over.
